11月23日消息，在20日进行的WCBA常规赛第13轮的一场较量中，北京首钢女篮84-45战胜厦门白鹭女篮。
22日，据《北京青年报》记者宋翔报道，北京首钢女篮中锋刘晶在经过客场比赛后进行伤病诊断，她的眼部结膜出血，鼻骨骨折，并且面部有多处抓伤。
现场记者透露，当时刘晶是在篮下与厦门大外布兰迪拼抢时受伤，随后倒地不起，最终是被担架抬出场外。
22日晚间，厦门白鹭女篮官方微博更新微博向刘晶致歉：
“I would like to apologize to Liu Jing on Beijing Team for her most recent injury. While coming down from a lay up I simply lost my balance, causing my arms and hands to hit her in the face. This was not intentional and was an complete accident. I would never want anyone to be injured while playing any sport. Again, I send my sincere apologies and regards to Liu Jing. I am a good person and I am sure she is as well. I wish her a speedy recovery. I also hope I can apologize to her in person next time we meet.
